Community rules

The Partner Hub is a place for local business owners to help each other. These are the few things we ask.

1. Be useful, and be kind

Share what has worked for you, ask what you need to know, and answer as you would want to be answered. Disagree with ideas, not with people.

2. No hard selling

Tell people what you do — that is what the Introductions category is for. Do not post adverts, repeat the same offer, or message members you do not know with a pitch. If someone asks for a recommendation, by all means put yourself forward.

3. Keep it in the room

Members talk openly here because it is private. Do not copy what someone posted, or a private message, to anywhere outside the hub without asking them first.

4. Your own words and your own work

Post only what you have the right to share. No one else's customer details, and nothing that is confidential to someone else's business.

5. Nothing unlawful, hateful or harassing

That includes abuse, threats, discrimination, and repeatedly contacting someone who has asked you to stop.

If something is wrong

Every post, comment, private message and profile has a "Report" link. It goes to the hosts, and the person you report is not told it was you. You can also block a member from messaging you, from their profile.

What the hosts may do

Hosts and moderators can remove a post or comment, and can ban a member who breaks these rules. We would always rather have a word first, but we will act straight away on anything in rule 5.
