Online Marketing Group Partner Hub

Your information in the Partner Hub

The hub is run by OMG Marketing. This page says what we keep, why, and how to have it removed.

What we keep

  • Your email address. It is how you sign in and where notifications go. Other members never see it.
  • Your profile: your name, business, town and "about" text. Other members see these.
  • What you write: posts, comments, likes, poll votes and private messages.
  • If you asked to join: the answers you gave on the request form.
  • Your email settings, and any reports you send to the hosts or members you block.

Who can see what

Posts, comments and profiles are visible to signed-in members only. Nothing in the hub is public or shown to search engines.

A private message is visible to you and the one person you are writing to. The hosts do not read private messages. If the person who received a message reports it, the hosts and moderators see that one message so they can decide what to do. A copy of a member's information made by a host leaves private messages out.

Signing in and cookies

There are no passwords. We email you a link, and when you use it we set one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. If you sign in with Google, a second cookie lasting ten minutes carries you there and back. Those are the only cookies the hub sets. There is no advertising or analytics tracking.

You can also sign in with Google. If you do, Google tells us your email address and whether it is verified, your name, the address of your profile picture, and Google's own id number for your account. We never see your Google password or anything in your Google account. We keep the picture's address and that id number, and show the picture beside your name. If your address is not a Gmail or Google Workspace one, we also email you a sign-in link to be sure it is yours. The hub fetches it itself, so other members' browsers never contact Google to see it.

To stop the sign-in form being abused we keep a count of sign-in requests against the address asked for and the internet address it came from, for up to a day.

Email

Sign-in links and replies to a request to join are always sent. Everything else — new private messages, mentions, replies, the weekly round-up and announcements — is your choice: each email has a link to stop it, and signed-in members can change all of them under Email settings. The text of an email we have sent is wiped from our records after a week.

Companies that handle it for us

  • Cloudflare hosts the hub and its database.
  • Amazon Web Services (Simple Email Service, Ireland) sends our email.
  • Google confirms who you are if you choose “Sign in with Google”, and hosts your profile picture.
  • YouTube, Vimeo and Loom: when a post includes one of their videos, opening that post loads the player from them, and they may set their own cookies. Private messages never load a player.

We do not sell your information or pass it to anyone else.

How long we keep it

For as long as you are a member. A post or comment that you or a host removes disappears from every page straight away, and stays in our records so that we can see what was removed and by whom.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself at any time, from the foot of your profile page. Your name, business, town, "about" text, picture and email address are removed. Your posts and comments stay, shown as written by "Former member", and messages you sent stay in the other person's inbox — so remove anything you do not want left behind first.

Seeing or correcting what we hold

You can change your profile yourself. To have a copy of what the hub holds about you, or to ask us anything else about it, email omg@omgmarketinguk.com or use the contact page. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
